PNC Virtual Wallet App Reviews

2 stars because WHEN it works it is great to have... Thats only WHEN it works. Can we try to get it to stop crashing all the time?

This app is a waste of time. It will lock you out and require you to call customer service. I suggest just accessing your account from a web browser.

This app is great and work perfectly for simple tasks. I dont understand why people are giving it bad reviews. Maybe they just dont know how to use iPhones.

The app doesnt report my "S" is for savings account balance. When I log in on my desktop, I am able to view my balance. I detect this may be an app glitch. Does anyone else have this same problem?

I love this app when it is working, which is probably 20% of the time. My husband and I have an ongoing joke (and frustration) about whether the service will be available when we need to use our mobile banking.. Cough.. It never is. Meaning: you cant even attempt to log on, basically SOL. Youd think this error would be a high priority fix for PNC, but as I said, its been ongoing. This app is utterly useless the vast majority of the time, though I rather do like it when I can access it by chance.

I used to love this app. However, I havent been able to use the app to deposit a check in months. Its incredibly inconvenient for a bank that requires your to use online or atm deposits to avoid fees.

Whenever it works its a good app. Again, whenever it is working. Good luck with that! Very aggravated. Might as well take it down and leave it down until you get all the bugs worked out.

Bill reminders are missing. You can play them, but you dont know when they are due or how much is due. No payment due date for linked credit cards. So I have to use the website to do anything meaningful. Mobile check deposit doesnt work for a lot of checks so I have to use Chase. Its basically a PNC-specific version of Mint. It doesnt really do anything Mint cant do aside from transfer money between checking and savings and it only works with PNC.

There are barely any features to this app besides being able to see your balance and transfer funds. The app doesnt even notify you when your balance is low or anything! The activities section is hard to read, there is no ledger showing account balances along with withdrawals/deposits, and you cant do most actions from the app. I wish there were more useable features like notifications, the budget tools from the website, and the ability to navigate account balances easily. Disappointed.

This app is always down, or unavailable. If they are having this much trouble getting their apps to work (because this problem is also present in their other mobile banking app) they should fire the people in charge, and get their act together. This has been a long ongoing problem.

How can you screw something up as simple as online banking? Better apps than this one have been available for almost a decade now so this is beyond disappointing. The app regularly misrepresents balances resulting in mountains of fees and regular frustration.

Between the crashing the flaky Touch ID and the error that I need to upgrade to virtual wallet. Im about to just change banks.

There is no support for: 1) multiple user IDs for logging in. 2) fingerprint login never works even though it works for me on other apps that "truly" support it. 3) there is no option for two factor authentication 4) cant see account numbers which are now, thankfully, visible on the new website. 5) there are certain VW features that are available to be edited on your website by they are read only in the APP. That just defeats the purpose of having that feature if I cant create the stuff and have to rely on the site. Between this app and the PMC Bank app, the PNC app team has lost its identity and it seems like they are struggling. These apps should be combined just like your website. After all you dont make customers go to two different websites if someone has both VirtualWallet and non-VW account. Lean from your website... Learn from your competitors...(BofA) Learn from your mistakes...

Thank you for adding Touch ID support. It was much needed. Why do you have to type in the password to make a transfer after logging in with Touch ID. Once Ive logged in with Touch ID, I shouldnt have to re-enter password to access any features inside the app. Please update this.

Wont log me in until the second or third try just about every time I open it

Bill pay needs to be more like the PNC mobile App where you can see your recent and scheduled payments. The bill pay part of virtual wallet app would be more convenient to use if this was added. Plus would be nice if app would give you bill reminders.

Wont let me view the Saving account only spending. You have to fix immediately!!

I build apps for a living, specifically for financial clients, and I can tell you there are some redeeming qualities to the app, but all of them are now considered table stakes in the mobile banking world. Mobile check deposit is a useful feature, and the idea of Touch ID is wonderful... However, the Touch ID feature is useless if it times out after you lock your phone. Im never able to actually use the feature. That is a damaging interaction because I have been led to believe that by enabling Touch ID I would no longer have to enter my password to access my bank account but that is not the case. Furthermore, I am unable to make edits to my wish list allocations, the app has been crashing more often than usual, and in general it is now an outdated design.

Started using this app vs. the regular PNC app. PNC & their apps are always down in general but this app never works. If you have a choice between this and the regular banking app, do not choose this one. Every time I try to log in, its down for whatever reason.

Overall I think the app is great, much better than WF. My only complaint is that I have to launch the app twice in order for Touch ID to be enabled. If this was fixed Id give it 5 stars.
